Townsville Airport works closely with Airservices Australia, the entity responsible for monitoring aircraft noise and responding to noise complaints.

Aircraft Noise Management

Townsville Airport is a Joint User facility. Noise management is controlled by aircraft noise abatement procedures and routine aircraft noise monitoring undertaken by Townsville Airport and the Department of Defence. RAAF Base Townsville manages a toll-free noise enquiry hotline for any community complaints regarding Military aircraft.
