Parking space is limited, and approvals must be obtained in advance for charter/itinerant aircraft over 5700kg, light jet and turbine aircraft.

Aircraft Parking Approvals

Parking space is limited, and approvals must be obtained in advance for charter/itinerant aircraft over 5700kg, light jet and turbine aircraft. The requirements are detailed in the ERSA, local traffic regulations, paragraph number 1.8. 

Itinerant Aircraft Parking

Itinerant aircraft parking requests must be sent through the Online Itinerant Aircraft Parking Form here. This form contains operational data from aircraft owners/operators/Ground handling agents that is essential to ensure a smooth visit to Townsville Airport. 

Please note, applications must be submitted with all required sections completed and must be received at least two (2) clear business days prior to aircraft movement.  

For international movements (aircraft arriving from or departing to locations outside of Australia), the form must be completed by a Ground Handling Agent.
